Vladan Božović rođen je 01.06.1974. u Nikšiću gdje je završio Gimnaziju.
1998. godine završio je PMF – Odsjek Biologija, Univerziteta u Beogradu i postao diplomirani molekularni biolog i fiziolog. 2002. godine završio je i magistarske studije na odsjeku za Ekologiju. Doktorirao je 2007. godine na Institutu za biologiju, fiziologiju biljaka i farmaciju u Berlinu sa tezom: "Cryoprotective activity of four dehydrins expressed in E.coli and their influence on thylakoid membrane permeability in comparison to cryoprotectin.“
Radio je kao stručni saradnik na Institutu za biologiju mora u Kotoru , bio šef sektora za monitoring, analizu i izvještavanje u Agenciji za zaštitu životne sredine Crne Gore i saradnik-koordinator Evropske agencije za zaštitu životne sredine (EEA) u Crnoj Gori. 2011.godine bio je angažovan na Biotehničkom fakultetu Univerziteta Crne Gore kao ekspert za genetičke resurse na AgriSciMont projektu. Od 2012. godine radi kao profesor na Fakultetu za prehrambenu tehnologiju, bezbjednost hrane i ekologiju (Predmeti: Opšta i organska hemija/ Biohemija). Angažovan je i na Fakutetu primijenjene nauke - Primijenjena psihologija gde predaje Psihobiologiju.
